Deewana (Hindi pronunciation: [diːwaːnaː], transl. Obsessed) is a 1992 Indian Hindi-language romantic action film directed by Raj Kanwar and written by Sagar Sarhadi. It stars Divya Bharti, Rishi Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan (in his film debut). The film revolves around an effervescent girl Kaajal (Bharti), depicting her travails as a widow after her husband Ravi (Kapoor) is killed and how her obsessive lover Raja (Khan) wins her over. Sushma Seth, Alok Nath and Amrish Puri play supporting roles.
